Gursum district Finance Office (GDFO) is Government Organization which was established in 1987 E.C with proclamation No:-567 named as GDFED Office. But in 2009 E.C it is separated from planning office and established independently and named as GD Finance and Economic Cooperation Office. While in 2014 E.C this year On October 25/2014 E.C and its restructured and changed its previous name and get current name GDFO with proclamation No:-242/2014 E.C.
GDFO is established to achieve 24 roles in District sectors. But the first one to control and Monitor operational planned activities, second to Administer Budget and Financing activities, third to undertake procurement and purchasing activities, and the forth one is to make controlling and checking balance or auditing work performed and budget utilized according to the rules, proclamation and stated directives.
This organization has 4 main core process:-1. Planning and Budget 2. Finance 3. Procurement and Stock Administration 4. Auditing Core Process. There are 50 staffs in this organization:-of this 48 employees are permanent while 2 employees are contract staffs or non-permanent staffs. So, in order to perform those bulk activities the knowledge and skills of its employees through technological advancement and innovation in different position.
In this modern day no person (or) no organization (or) no business can survive without consuming the application of technologies. The positive side of usage of technology is that it will make the employees to work more effectively which will improve the overall performance of the organization. Simultaneously adoption of new technology will also pose certain level of stress on the employees. The present study is an empirical in nature focusing on the role of technology on employee behavior & their performance and influence of technology on employee inter- personal relationships.
Generally technological innovation improves the overall performance of the employees and organization. By understanding the importance of technology, GDFO introduces new technology which is called IBEX (Integrated Budget and Expenditure System) program which enables to facilitate and improve the activities of Budget, Budget Control, budget Adjustment:-Budget Supplement & Budget Transfer, and Finance Administration the overall accounting cycles.
So, enhancing technological innovation is important for the organization and improvement in individual employee performance in terms of quantity, quality, and speed of work achievement and GDFO to keep an updated information technology tools which will help employees to perform their work accurately, efficiently and effectively.
